Meet Bolt
Name / Breed / Age: Bolt, Westie, puppy Personality Traits: Curious, Happy go lucky, Loveable Likes / Dislikes: LOVES toys - all the toys, all the time. Bolt does NOT love missing a meal. Health and behavior history: Up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and will be neutered between 4-7 months. Clean bill of health from the PIPs Vet!Meet Bolt – Your Playful and Cuddly Best Friend!Bolt is a spark of love, loyalty and energy at your feet. Rounding the corner with his short legs and bouncy ears, he does the best little hop-skip-runs. Bolt is loving the family life with his foster parents, foster brothers (three of them!) and big foster sister (Lucy, the dog). He is comfortable rather quickly exploring new places and if he needs a moment to himself, he finds the closest coffee table or pair of feet to scoot behind. Then, you'll see his little face peeking out to rejoin the action. Bolt sleeps all night in his crate and doing great with his overnight potty training. He's well on his way to conquering potty time during the day. (We can't blame the cute pup for a few accidents when there's so much to play with!)Bolt is one of our PIP-abled pups as he was born with hearing impairment. His foster family notes that it's quite the positive to have everyone up and running around for school in the mornings while Bolt sleeps through all the action! Bolt will need a home and family that helps him learn commands and manners through the use of sign language or hand signals, etc. He is working on learning "Hi", "Come here", "Potty" and "Sit" - and Bolt learns best with no distractions, plenty of stinky smelling treats and lots of repetition. He does occasionally seem to hear sounds of a higher frequency, but not with regularity. He's super aware of his surroundings, has the most adorable bark and deserves ALL the love.Welcoming Bolt into your home promises you a lot of polaroid moments. Pretty much every move Bolt makes is absolutely adorable. His soft, white fur captures the attention of everyone. And his leap frog personality keeps you smiling.
Adoption Process
Once we receive your application an adoption counselor will take a look and reach out with any questions.
The team will check personal, vet references and check with your landlord if applicable. Your adoption counselor will then set up a time to talk with you and your family (or anyone else involved in the adoption process in your home). This call is a good time to ask any questions you have.
Once your application is approved, you will be connected with the foster of the PIP(s) you are interested in. From start to finish, this process can take anywhere from a few days to over a week (so please be patient!). If everything goes well and you and the foster agree that the PIP you want to adopt is a good fit, we will then finalize the adoption.
Adoption fees are $325 for adults and $375 for puppies. All dogs will be up to date on age appropriate vaccines and spayed / neutered if old enough. If not old enough adopters can come back to our vet to have it covered in fee. It must be done by the time the dog is 6 months old.
