Meet Cherry
Cherry came from a home with lots of other animals but is ready to find a home of her own. Don’t let that frosted muzzle fool you, Cherry still has plenty of energy to go on walks but is also very happy to chill on the sofa and watch a movie. She’s looking for a dedicated adopter to continue to help her learn and grow. Big fan of: Sniff walks, cozy beds and chicken! Cherry forms really strong bonds with her people and shows it by wiggling and wagging her whole body. Going for walks where she gets to sniff and explore is a great way to start bonding with her. She also loves a good lazy evening where she gets to chill on the couch and watch movies. Working on: Her confidence. Cherry can still be shy with new people, but this lovely lady is worth the wait! Going to a new home may be scary for her, so a family who’s dedicated to making her feel safe, happy and loved, especially in the first few weeks, is key! Setting up a safe space for Cherry in the form of a crate or dog bed in a quiet, low traffic area of the house can help her feel more comfortable. Adding some toys, a chew bone and some treats can also help her feel at home in her safe space. And remember- she loves chicken! Dream home: Cherry would love a home with plenty of cozy places to relax! She loves going for walks and could even make a nice hiking buddy starting with some shorter hikes to build up her stamina for nice long strolls in nature. She enjoys having toys around to chew on periodically but takes good care of her belongings!
