Meet Millie

Millie is a petite ~6year old sweet velcro girl who was surrendered to the Asheville shelter after her owner went to jail. housebroken crate trained (but doesn’t need it) loves to snuggle walks well on a leash is not high energy but gets the zoomies jumps like a kangaroo when she’s excited (doesn’t jump on someone/something, just straight up in the air) gets along with her foster brother (Dane). Hasn’t been tested with small dogs or cats but doesn’t seem prey driven likes car rides not a counter surfer great with older/calm children. Hasn’t been tested with high energy kids yet a little shy when she meets someone new but warms up after a short time This wonderful girl would do well with someone who could spend some time building her confidence and working through her slightly timid nature while reinforcing her good manners. Adoption Process
Application,vet check,personal reference check,phone interview and home visit. Required to sign a contract that we can check on animal at anytime,the animal has to be returned to us if they can no longer keep them and they must live indoors as a family member. Fence is required but exceptions are made on a case by case basis.
