Meet Rico Suave` - OS

Rico's adoption donation is $450 and he is being fostered in the Central Ohio vicinity.  He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, dhlpp, bivalent canine influenza, and bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention. Rico came into rescue when his owner could no  longer give him the attention he needed, due to health issues in the family.  He has made a lot of progress in rescue and loves going for a walk and exploring and is leash trained.  Rico does well on housetraining if kept on a schedule.  He loves being the center of his person's attention, but he likes other dogs too.  He would do best in a home with a yard, or one that has time to walk him every day.   He is a fairly active cheerful little dog and does well with humans in general. 

Adoption Process
Applicant submits an online (or paper) application. We thoroughly check references including personal, vet, and groomer--landlord if applicable. Once references check out, we then conduct a home visit to ensure home and family would best suit the dog. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis--we go with the home that is the best fit for the dog.
