Meet Callie- ARR

Callie’s adoption donation is $450, and she is being fostered in Eastern Ohio. She has been spayed, microchipped, and is up to date on all vaccines, including rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and Bordetella. She has tested negative for heartworms and is on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Callie has also had a dental cleaning. Callie came into rescue through no fault of her own after being released from a commercial puppy mill. But you'd never know it —she’s a happy, affectionate girl who loves being with people. She’s quickly discovered the joys of the good life, and some of her favorite things include chin rubs, snuggles, treats, and her cozy heated dog bed! Callie walks well on a leash and does not require a fenced yard. A companion dog isn’t necessary, as long as her people are home most of the day to keep her company. She’s friendly with other animals and is doing well with potty training when kept on a regular schedule. A ranch-style home would be ideal since she struggles with stairs . Callie is ready to find her forever home—one where she’ll be loved, cherished, and absolutely spoiled, just as she deserves!

Adoption Process
Applicant submits an online (or paper) application. We thoroughly check references including personal, vet, and groomer--landlord if applicable. Once references check out, we then conduct a home visit to ensure home and family would best suit the dog. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis--we go with the home that is the best fit for the dog.
