Sweet Dream House Rescue

Sweet Dream House Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, no kill, all volunteer, all breed animal rescue. We utilize a network of foster homes for pets ready for adoption. Our mission is to rescue homeless and abandoned animals, to spay/neuter, vaccinate and provide any needed medical care until they are adopted into loving homes. We are often the rescue of last resort, waiting until other rescues select from the euthansia lists to rescue those that are not selected.

Meet Crumb (with Chompers)

DOUBLE CUTENESS ALERT!! CHOMPERS (male, tan ears) and CRUMB (female, chocolate brown ears) are tiny little cuties looking for a home and they are so hoping they can find one where they can stay together. These two tinies are maybe 1 year old at most, Chompers is 8 lbs, Crumb is 7 lbs., both are fully grown. They were dumped in a local neighborhood in the wee hours of the morning and thankfully good samaritans scooped them up and saved them. Chompers and Crumb are adorable chihuahua mixes, they appear to be part pug (especially Chompers). Both have bob tails, but we have no way of knowing whether that's natural or their tails were docked. Crumb and Chompers are lively and playful but also love to cuddle with their people. They can be intimidated by bigger dogs and are learning to navigate life with kitties in their foster home. Both are good in their crate. We really are loath to split up Chompers and Crumb, but if we must, they each would need a home with another friendly playful small dog. We will consider applications for just one of the pups as backups, but will prioritize applications from adopters who will keep Chompers and Crumb together. If you'd like to meet these cuties, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
