Dogs posted are currently up for adoption unless otherwise noted. Our goal is to match dogs with a suitable home/family so that at any time, dogs shown here may already have a potential match. We post dogs as quickly as possible however there may be some not yet pictured. We allow our dogs time to settle in with their foster families so that we can evaluate their health and personality. Holly will require a fully physical fenced yard. Holly will be three years old in April. She is a sweet little gal with a past that will require an adopter to have time and patience. Holly lived outdoors all of her life until coming into rescue in late December. She has adapted well to living indoors, never had any accidents in the house and is fully house-trained. Holly knows basic commands and is highly motivated by tasty treats. She gets along with her foster fur siblings, but this has taken a great deal of work by the humans to integrate her with other dogs slowly. Holly is fine indoors and in the backyard but has a long way to go as she learns to trust things outside the home's front door. Holly panics if she sees or hears other dogs outside the home. Her panic is likely due to forced breeding outdoors. No more babies for Holly girl; she is now spayed. Her past lacked proper socialization, but she has come a long way and is learning to be confident. Holly likes people; however, men with beards send her into a state of panic. She loves women and her foster pa(w). Holly seeks human attention and loves to crawl into a lap for a snooze. At night, Holly sleeps in a crate with the door open. During the day, she roams around the house or snoozes in a large pen, her indoor condo. She rides well in the car and loves going to the Vet. Holly has a tail that now wags and a sweet Sheltie smile on her face. She would do best in a home with no other dogs or cats and an above-ground fence so she can do her favorite thing, explore in the backyard. Holly's foster family adores her, she is sweet and silly. Her foster family has a village helping to improve her confidence daily.
