KAIYA

THE ROAD HOME ANIMAL PROJECT

TRHAP is 100% volunteer and 100% foster based 501c3. We formed in 2014 to help animals in all forms of need. We help private owners who cannot keep their animals, pull dogs from high kill shelters. We take animals that have been brought into a vet for illness/injury and if the owner cannot afford the treatment and want them euthanized, our vet offers them an alternative to reach out to us to give the dog a chance at recovery and finding it the best home. We take animals to Ohio State Veterinary Hospital anytime our vet recommends for advanced diagnostics, care or treatment.

Meet KAIYA

Carla is a female Shepherd mix who was born under our care with her 7 siblings on 1/20/23. Her mom is a 45lb shepherd mix named Sybil (pictured above) who came to us from an overcrowded shelter, where we did not know she was pregnant. When Sybil was surrendered to the shelter, we were told that she came in with an unaltered male black and tan shepherd, who is likely the father, though we do not know for sure. At this time, she is around 10lbs and will likely be medium to large size at full growth, though that is only an estimate based upon her mom and paw size.Carla is working on housebreaking and crate training, but that will need to continue with her new, forever home as she is just a baby. Please remember that Carla is a very young puppy who is not yet housebroken, crate trained or trained at all in general at this time. New adopters need to be aware that they will need to work with her for future success - we will be available to help give guidance and answer any questions or concerns. Carla is a baby and gets along with everyone - foster siblings and friends (canine, feline and human alike), just a great pup who is deserving of a loving, forever home. You can visit our website at theroadhomeanimalproject.org
