Margie is a 4 year old female sheltie/collie/shepherd mix weighing about 45 pounds. She came to Paws and Prayers from a pound after she and her sister had been in a car accident. Margie suffered a luxated patella which we ran to fix. Well we had to do blood work and found she had three kinds of tick diseases with a rate of 467 blood immersion: Lyme, Ehrlichia and Anaplasmosis. Her white blood cell count was high and she showed a blood infection called corana virus. Surgery was put off after extensive tests (cosing around $1200). We are waiting for a second set of blood work to okay the surgery which will be over $2,200 but we help the dogs we take under our wing. Anyway, once she is ready to go to a home (after her leg heals or even during the time as it will take 8 weeks), she will be a remarkable addition to any home. She is sweet, obedient, and loving. Her adoption fee is $350. If interested in adopting Margie, please complete our non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org. Any questions, email [email protected].
