Meet Milley Mouse, a delightful 2-year-old pup weighing in at a perfect 20 pounds! Milley is the epitome of a well-rounded companion—she gets along famously with both dogs and cats and is a pro on a leash, though she might pull a bit when she's excited. Her favorite game is catch, and she never misses a chance to play! Milley is incredibly gentle, especially when it comes to taking treats, making her a hit with kids. With her charming personality and sweet nature, Milley truly is the perfect dog!

Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
