Meet Lando - The Gentle Giant! Lando is a 2.5-year-old, 60-pound sweetheart who is ready to find his forever home. This gentle giant loves nothing more than nuzzling his face into your belly and flopping onto his back for belly rubs. He's a big fan of lounging next to you indoors and running around outside to stretch his legs. Lando is incredibly smart and well-mannered. He's crate-trained, potty-trained, neutered, and microchipped. He knows basic commands like 'sit' and walks nicely on a leash. He also adores car rides-especially when they involve chicken Lando has a loving and friendly personality, so if you are looking for a loyal companion who loves snuggles and adventures, Lando might be your perfect match. He's a gentle, affectionate soul who just wants to be by your side. Could you be the one to give Lando the love he deserves?
Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
