Meet Calvin - OS

Calvin's adoption donation is $550 and he is being fostered in Cincinnati Ohio area.  He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention.   Calvin requires a home with a companion dog of similar size/energy and a secure, physically fenced yard. Calvin came into rescue through no fault of his own when his owner could no longer care for him. He is timid in nature, loves other dogs and prefers the man of the household. Calvin does well on potty training if kept on a schedule, but does enjoy a walk, and does well on a leash. He is still figuring out that good things come from people, and still learning to play with toys. He needs a human who can guide his development and training with a consistent and gentle hand. Calvin is timid at first and needs some time to warm up. He loves to be outside and needs a lot of coaxing to come back in. Calvin’s ideal home would have another dog of similar size and energy and have an activity level to continue his progress

Adoption Process
Applicant submits an online (or paper) application. We thoroughly check references including personal, vet, and groomer--landlord if applicable. Once references check out, we then conduct a home visit to ensure home and family would best suit the dog. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis--we go with the home that is the best fit for the dog.
