Angus is the sweetest most loyal pup you will meet. He is a bit shy at first, but once he warms up he won't leave your side. He's about 6 years old and enjoys cuddling, running / walking, and rides in the car. Angus is great with cats, kids, and other dogs. He especially enjoys sitting in your lap or on a chair! He knows his basic commands, is great on a leash and crate + potty trained. If you're looking for an easy well-mannered pup with a lot of love to give, Angus is your guy!
Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
