Meet Singer! This one year old, 38 pound pocket pit is the most precious little dog you will ever meet in your life. He loves other dogs, he loves babies and he is a Velcro dog!! He wants to be with his person at all times & because of that he is fantastic off leash! He’s great in the car, great on a leash and is super treat motivated & soooo trainable!! He loves toys & will bunny hop around the house with his favorite toy in his mouth! He came to us with wounds that we were told was from being attacked by a coyote. He is healing nicely & is ready for his forever home!! Apply to adopt him today!
Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
