Meet Katie

Katie is currently looking for a forever home for her golden years. Katie's owner passed and had nowhere to go. She is currently in a foster home, learning to live, love and trust again. She has done amazing in her foster home. Katie needs structure in her life as she sometimes can have accidents in the home if you don't catch her "outside" cue's. She loves to play! She's not much of a toy play dog but would rather play with her people and get loving!  Katie sleeps through the night and does not have any existing medical needs. She would do best as an only dog but seems to do better with smaller, respectable dogs. She has not been cat tested but judging on her reaction to small wildlife, we think cats would be a no. Older kids would suit her best as well.  She walks great on a leash and doesn't need a crate when left alone (as long as you don't leave food out as she will try to counter surf to the best of her abilities and usually succeeds!) Katie's hearing is not the best but her vision is still good! She may do well in an apartment but would definitely need to be a first floor apartment ONLY.

Adoption Process
We require an adoption application be completed and approved before a meet can take place with any of our animals. From that point, we will set up meet and greets with approved candidates. A 2 week trial adoption is possible to ensure a good fit. Fees vary. If 2 week trial is wanted, a non-refundable deposit of half the adoption fee is required. (If a crate is provided to adopter there may be an additional fee to cover replacement cost)
