Meet Tommy, a handsome, blue merle 4 year old. Tommy gets along well with the other resident dogs but there are no cats in his current household so we do not know how he would do with them. He would prefer a calm furry friend over a boisterous one and might enjoy being an only dog. Tommy understands Sit, Down and Come, but has made it clear that “stay” is not in his repertoire. He would love to have a fenced in yard because he enjoys running laps, but is happiest if his human is in the yard with him. He is trustworthy in the house so is confined to a room only when his family is away from home. Tommy is on a prescription diet for his reflux and is doing well with that. He loves to cuddle, wants to be with his humans and seems to look to people for confidence and reassurance. Tommy would do best with an owner who is experienced with dogs who were poorly socialized when they were young and can be patient and help him become the confident dog we want him to be.
