Meet Luke

Meet Luke, a lovable 9-month-old Elkhound mix weighing 35 lbs. Luke is a sweet, playful pup who’s eager to learn and grow. He’s currently working on mastering basic commands like "sit" and "stay," and is making great progress!Luke is still in the process of house training, so occasional accidents happen, but he’s improving every day. He sleeps soundly in his crate at night, although he’s still learning to go in there on his own. With a little encouragement, we’re confident he’ll get the hang of it soon!Luke gets along well with other dogs, although he enjoys his own space and relaxing in peace. He’s working on sharing, and with time, he’ll learn to be more comfortable in social settings. We're not sure how he feels about cats yet, but we think he’d do well in a household where he can adjust to his new family members slowly. He gets along fine with kids.A true cuddle bug, Luke loves lounging on the couch or curling up in his bed surrounded by pillows. He has a playful side and enjoys digging—though his foster mom isn’t always thrilled with this hobby!Luke is a wonderful, affectionate dog who’s looking for a loving home to help him continue his journey.
