Sweet Dream House Rescue

Sweet Dream House Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, no kill, all volunteer, all breed animal rescue. We utilize a network of foster homes for pets ready for adoption. Our mission is to rescue homeless and abandoned animals, to spay/neuter, vaccinate and provide any needed medical care until they are adopted into loving homes. We are often the rescue of last resort, waiting until other rescues select from the euthansia lists to rescue those that are not selected.

Meet Reggie 2023

Gorgeous beagle boy REGGIE is a gem. He's a happy-go-lucky boy who loves to play fetch and soak up affection. He's about 4.5 years old and currently 45 lbs., on his way down to his goal weight of 35 lbs. Reggie came to the rescue after his primary caregiver passed away. Unfortunately he was extremely overweight when he arrived -- tipping the scales at nearly 52 lbs. With a healthy diet and exercise he should reach his goal easily. Reggie is a typical beagle -- nose to the ground, sniffing every single blade of grass in the yard. He's dog friendly and needs a physically fenced yard to keep him from following his beagle nose into trouble. Reggie needs a home with an adopter who will love him enough to help him achieve and maintain a healthy body weight to enjoy a long, active life. If you'd like to meet sweet, silly Reggie, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We can arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Reggie at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-3 at PetSmart Eastgate if he's still available. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
