Sweet Dream House Rescue

Sweet Dream House Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, no kill, all volunteer, all breed animal rescue. We utilize a network of foster homes for pets ready for adoption. Our mission is to rescue homeless and abandoned animals, to spay/neuter, vaccinate and provide any needed medical care until they are adopted into loving homes. We are often the rescue of last resort, waiting until other rescues select from the euthansia lists to rescue those that are not selected.

Meet Emmie 2023

Tiny mama EMMIE and her puppies are ready to find their furever homes. One of Emmie's puppies already has an adopter, but the other two, female TONKS and male FANG are looking for homes. EMMIE is a rat terrier mix, about 3 years old and 12 pounds with the most magnificent ears. She's affectionate and dog friendly. TONKS (female) and FANG (male) are 8 weeks old and about 4-5 lbs. Their daddy is unknown, but we anticipate they will be small dogs, probably in the 15-25 pound range. They are sweet, playful and friendly. Puppies thrive in the companionship of another dog, so we'd prefer to send the pups to homes with another friendly dog. Emmie, Tonks and Fang will go to furever homes on a foster-to-adopt basis. Their adoptions will be finalized when the vetting covered by their adoption fee is completed. All 3 must go to homes in the Greater Cincinnati area in order to accommodate vet appointments. If you'd like to meet Emmie, Fang or Tonks, please complete a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
