Meet Josie - ARR

Josie's adoption fee is $450 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio. She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms, and started on prevention as well as flea prevention. She has also had a dental cleaning with extractions. Josie requires a home with a secure, physically fenced yard and a companion dog of similar size. Josie came into rescue from a puppy mill and has made incredible progress in rescue. She likes other dogs and is very easy going in nature. Josie is starting to play with toys. We are working on house training and she is doing well if kept on a schedule. Josie is very smart and learned immediately how to climb the dog stairs to the bed. Josie loves to snuggle and be loved on. She is still cautious with people when you pick her up as she will only look at you out io the corner of her eye. Josie still needs work with walking on a leash as most puppy mills do. One can't help but fall in love with this cutie pie. Her big eyes and little tongue that sticks out makes her adorable! Josie requires a home with a companion dog and a secure, physically fenced yard.

Adoption Process
Applicant submits an online (or paper) application. We thoroughly check references including personal, vet, and groomer--landlord if applicable. Once references check out, we then conduct a home visit to ensure home and family would best suit the dog. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis--we go with the home that is the best fit for the dog.
