Incoming cuteness!! Meet LEONARDO, an absolutely adorable little mixed breed boy looking for a home. Our best guess on breed is a Schnoodle -- a poodle/schnauzer mix. We can assure you he does have eyes underneath all that hair, he's scheduled for a grooming. He has a lovely black coat with a silver stripe down his back. Leonardo is still a pup, around 11 months old and currently 12 pounds. He's fully grown but a little too skinny, he needs to add a pound or two. Leonardo is a little on the timid side and has never known life as an only dog, he needs a home with another friendly playful small dog. Leonardo is a playful boy who loves toys. His playful energy may be too much for a senior looking for a lap sitter. Leonardo will require regular grooming to keep him from becoming a matted mess. If you would like to meet Leonardo, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
