Your search for the perfect DOUGHNUT is over. She's right here and she is an absolute gem of a beagle. Doughnut is the perfect combination of beauty and sweetness. And she can sit pretty and high 5. Doughnut loves everyone, making friends wherever she goes. She adores people of all ages. Doughnut is about 5 years old. She came to us extremely overweight (44 lbs!) but with a healthy diet and exercise she's down to 35 pounds and only has 3-5 pounds left to lose. Doughnut loves going for daily walks and soaking up all of the attention she can. She's not interested in other dogs and gets testy when they pester her, so she's best suited to a home where she will be an only dog. She is housebroken and crate trained. Standard beagle rules apply, Doughnut needs a physically fenced yard to keep her from following her beagle nose into trouble. If you'd like to meet Doughnut, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
