Meet Piper 2023

PIPER is equal parts stunning, sweet and playful. She is a beautiful mixed breed girl, about 1 year old and fully grown at 33 lbs. She loves to zoom and play and also loves attention and treats. She's dog friendly and appears to be housebroken. Plus she photographs like a supermodel. Whenever there is a gust of wind her ears catch the breeze for that casual wind-blown look. She has a medium-length coat. Piper's breed mix probably includes a bit of Aussie to give her the unique markings on her face and ears, maybe a little beagle to give her the long ears and who knows what else. Like most mixed breed dogs, she's a unique blend of multiple breeds. If you'd like to meet Piper, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
