Sweet Dream House Rescue

Sweet Dream House Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, no kill, all volunteer, all breed animal rescue. We utilize a network of foster homes for pets ready for adoption. Our mission is to rescue homeless and abandoned animals, to spay/neuter, vaccinate and provide any needed medical care until they are adopted into loving homes. We are often the rescue of last resort, waiting until other rescues select from the euthansia lists to rescue those that are not selected.

Meet Chessie - Fawn Litter

Meet Mama FAWN'S 7 adorable terrier mix puppies!! One boy and six girls, born April 11 and ready to find homes! Our best guess on breed is Jack Russell Terrier, Rat Terrier and heaven only knows what else is in the mix. They range in size from tiny PEEWEE, the smallest but boldest of the bunch at just 5 pounds to SAUSAGE ROLL, the only boy, who is an 8 pound chunk. The rest of the pups are: FREEDOM, 7 pounds, named after the Chick-Fil-A cow. You'll get it when you see her, SAUSALITO, 6 pounds, who looks like a smaller version of Sausage Roll, SHYSHY, 7 pounds, the shyest and most dramatic of the pups, CHESSIE, 7 pounds of adorable and BESSIE, another adorable 7 pounder. The pups are sweet and friendly with absolutely lovely temperaments like their mama. Fawn is an 18 pound terrier mix.The pups will probably end up being a bit bigger than mama when fully grown, we're guesstimating in the 20-30 pound range. They are well socialized with people of all ages, good with other dogs and fascinated by cats. They are very social and have never known life without other dogs. It is our strong preference that the pups go to homes where there is another friendly dog, or you can adopt two of the siblings together. Fawn's puppies must go to homes in the greater Cincinnati area in order to complete all of the vetting covered by their adoption fee. Our adoption fee covers the puppies' spay/neuter surgery, all age-appropriate vaccines, de-worming, microchip and any other need care. The pups will go to homes on a trial adoption basis and their adoptions will be finalized when their vetting is completed.  If you would like to meet one of Fawn's puppies, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
