Meet Ingrid

Who needs a charming little sidekick? Say hello to INGRID, a lovely petite  terrier-type mixed breed girl looking for a home. Ingrid is about 18 months old and fully grown at 14 pounds. Our best guess on breed is a rat terrier-type mix. She enjoys playing fetch in the yard,  playing with other dogs and cuddling up with her people. She also loves to give kisses. Lots and lots of kisses. She's also a big fan of belly rubs. Ingrid didn't get a great start in life. She came to us from an abusive situation and it's taken a some time for her to learn that she's safe and nobody will ever hurt her again. We are so proud of our little girl for overcoming her fears and opening up to love and kindness. Ingrid is best suited to a quiet home where she won't need to meet lots of strangers. New people need to earn Ingrid's trust. Once Ingrid trusts you, she loves you with her whole heart. Ingrid is housebroken, crate trained and fine with cats and other dogs. She's best suited to a home with another friendly similar-sized dog. If you'd like to meet Ingrid, we are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Ingrid at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate if she's still available. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. 

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
