Evening is an excited, enthusiastic young pup with lots of love and energy to give! She’s about 50 lbs. and around 10 months old Evening loves giving kisses (licks) and she has the most expressive ears! She is good with kids and other dogs, and can live with cats. She is very playful, loves chew toys and bones, and playing with other dogs. She enjoys running around the backyard with her two besties (other dog in the house + neighbor dog). Once she’s all tuckered out, she loves snuggling up on the couch for a nap. Apply to adopt this sweet girl today!
Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
