Meet Anastasia

ANASTASIA is a sweet sweet beagle mama looking for a home. Anastasia is the mama of the Parvo pups we introduced you to at the end of last month. Anastasia has lived a hard life. When we got our hands on her she was living outdoors at the end of a chain trying her best to protect her 2 babies during the worst of the polar blast in January. We have no idea how many puppies she started out with or what happened to them, but we are confident this girl has given birth to litter after litter of pups. In fact, the guy we took her from told us she's probably "good for a few more litters". Oh HELL no. No more life of hardship living for Anastasia. We intend to find her a home where she will live her life as a spoiled, pampered family member. Anastasia is about 8 years old and currently 26 pounds but a bit too pudgy. She should weigh about 20 pounds. She needs a home with an adopter who will love her enough to help her achieve a healthy weight and live a long happy life. Anastasia is a friendly low/medium energy girl, fine with cats and other dogs and people of all ages. In addition to standard vetting, Anastasia is scheduled for a dental cleaning. If you'd like to meet Anastasia, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
