Meet Hamburglar

Just like the original from McDonald's our HAMBURGLAR will steal your heart! HAMBURGLAR. came into rescue with his brother Grimace. He is a 4 month old, male, Collie mix. He has a soft, short, black coat sporting white speckled socks. He currently weighs 31#s, but his big webbed feet and long legs suggest he has some growing to do.  HAMBURGLAR is your typical puppy.  He's started basic training & learning to potty train with bells on the door.  He goes outside and quickly does his business.  Because, then it's off to pay in the snow!! He loves bouncing, prouncing and stalking snow balls.  He would stay outside all day if we let him. Hammy loves his people,  playing with other dogs,  is curious but respectful of cats, and he has never met a toy he didn't love!  If you are ready for a little black ball of entertainment, HAMBURGLAR is ready to steal your heart! ❤️

Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
