Meet Benji

Handsome Benji will draw you in with his looks. He might seem a little shy at first, but he quickly warms up and makes friends. Once he feels comfortable, he falls in love with anyone willing to take him outside to play. Benji loves the great outdoors, as long as someone is with him. He’s never been alone outside, as his previous owner always took him on walks. Benji could stand to lose a little weight, but that shouldn’t be an issue. His diet is gradually being adjusted, and his love for walks and playtime will certainly help. His favorite toy is a herding ball, which he "borrowed" from the collies at his foster home. Despite its large size, he can’t get enough of it—chasing after it whenever his foster dad rolls it.   Benji attaches himself to his human and loves to cuddle on the sofa with his foster dad. At bedtime, he sleeps on the floor next to his side of the bed. Benji has proven he is easy to train, especially when it means getting to go outside. Like a typical sheltie, Benji is a “talker” (barks) and isn’t shy about using his voice when he wants something. His foster dad predicts Benji will have no trouble quickly settling into his next home and becoming a cherished member of his forever family.
