Adoption Fees
450Meet Winnie
Winnie’s adoption donation is $450 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio. She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention. Winnie came into rescue as a stray from a local kill shelter. She did have an eye that was damaged when she came into rescue and it could not be saved. Even though Winnie has had a rough start in life, she doesn't let that get her down. She loves her person and while she gets along with other dogs, would thrive best as an only dog because she loves to be the center of her person's world. Winnie has made a lot of progress in rescue. She does well on housetraining if kept on a schedule, but there will be a transition period. Winnie can walk on a leash and is around cats in her current foster home. No children under the age of 10-12 due to her size.
Adoption Process
Applicant submits an online (or paper) application. We thoroughly check references including personal, vet, and groomer--landlord if applicable. Once references check out, we then conduct a home visit to ensure home and family would best suit the dog. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis--we go with the home that is the best fit for the dog.
