Meet Hootenanny! This 5-month-old Lab mix is a one-pup party looking for his forever family! True to his name, Hootenanny is a silly, energetic, and delightfully clumsy puppy who keeps everyone entertained with his goofy antics. Whether he’s zooming around the yard, tumbling over his own paws, or flopping into your lap for snuggles, this boy is always the life of the party. Hootenanny loves all people and dogs. His enthusiasm for life is contagious, and he’s sure to keep you laughing. He’s still learning the ropes of puppyhood, but with his eager-to-please attitude, he’s well on his way to becoming the perfect companion. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate pup, Hootenanny is your guy!
Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
