Meet Binx

Binx is ready to find his forever home! He came to us after spending 8 years in a Puppy Mill. The years of neglect took its toll on this sweet guy. When he arrived, he was an incredibly shut down shell of a dog. Binx has been through our training program and has really started to come around! He is still nervous, but he can walk on a leash, knows his commands, and will seek out attention from his handler now!   Binx will need a calm, quiet, patient household. Due to years of no socialization, new situations still really freak him out. He needs an owner who accepts who is and patiently helps him realize the world isn’t so scary. He has never known love and at 8 years old we think he is way overdue!   Binx is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heart worm negative around 10 pounds and had a recent dental. He is crate trained, potty trained and does ok walking on a leash. He is ok with other dogs, but mostly ignores them. He has not been cat tested.   We require our puppy mill dogs go to a home with the following: physically/securely fenced in yard (even though we leash train our pups, puppy mill dogs always remain a flight risk), a patient owner (these dogs may never fully come out of their shell. They need an adopter who doesn’t have unrealistic expectations for their socialization.), no small children living in the home (their activity level and noise can be too much).
