I am still searching for the perfect home for the handsome 8 month old Buckeye! He's grown to a whopping 100lbs these past few months, and is expected to get to 120lbs approximately. He would really benefit having another larger dog in the home, because he absolutely LOVED playing and rough housing in the fenced in area with the foster moms dog. He does well in a crate and has been wonderful with going potty outside. Once a bond has been established with Buckeye, he'll make a great hiking partner, and he loves snow. He knows many commands, is super intelligent, and I'd love to adopt him to someone who uses positive reinforcement training. His personality reminds me of the German Shephard, which was his mom, and dad was a Great Pyrenees. I recently found out that although he LOVES my 7 year old grandson, too much activity in a home with smaller children is too much for him to handle. Buckeye is very shy of new people, and it takes some time for him to warm up, meaning sometimes several meet and greets. So I'll need a family that is willing to put in a little bit of work to make him a part of your family. His adoption fee is $300, and includes neuter, microchip, and all up to date vaccines, dewormer, flea and heartworm prevention, etc.. If you would like to be considered to adopt this incredibly handsome guy, please fill out an application at pawsandprayers.org, and please email me when it is completed at [email protected].
Adoption Process
Adoption fees range from $150-$350. Non-negotiable. An applications at www.pawsandprayers.org must be filled out and approved before a meet and greet can be set up.
