Friends of Michigan Animal's Rescue

FMAR is a no-kill animal shelter. Our property includes three buildings. Once we take in an animal, it has a home with us for it's lifetime if necessary. The animals at FMAR are mostly strays brought to us by the police or surrenders whose owners cannot care for them. FMAR has a small staff and a large number of volunteers that have a deep love of animals. FMAR is well-know and well-respected in our community, and we continue to strive to provide services to the people and animals in our area.

Meet Arnold

Arnold here! Are you looking for a handsome hunk of a guy? I'm waiting patiently in my kennel to meet you!  The volunteers here absolutely love taking me to events because I’m great in the car and well-behaved in public. I thrive on pack walks with my dog friends and thoroughly enjoy playgroups. I also enjoy playing with humans too! Especially when it comes to tug—just be ready, because I might pull you down! I’m looking for an active home where I can keep up with your lifestyle. I would do best with people who have time to train me and can match my energy level. While I still need a bit of work on my leash manners, I promise to be an amazing hiking or jogging partner! I would be most happy in a active home with a fenced in yard to run and play in. I would do best with older children who understand my playful and clumsy nature or with another dog, provided we have a proper introduction. I’m crate-trained and have been noted to be accident free in a home setting. I can’t wait to meet you and your family! Don’t miss this chance to change both our lives forever! If you would like to meet Arnold, please submit an application for him on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. He is neutered, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $250, which helps cover the cost of the medical care I have received. **Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.

Adoption Process
