Meet Ziggy

Wave Hello To Ziggy!   Ziggy is a male, 3 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound. He came to us severely underweight but now weighs about 52 pounds. We think this is thanks to a required late night snack he has trained his humans to give him. Ziggy has a short, low-maintenance coat and long floppy ears.  He’s an active dog that enjoys playing with dogs of all sizes and would enjoy an active family, older children, hiking and training. He is house trained and crate trained. Ziggy would do best in a home without cats. Due to his breed, chasing cats seems like the best game ever!    During Ziggy’s time in prison and training, he has practiced sit, down, stay, come.. He also has been working on his leash walking skills and doing amazing!    Ziggy has been through our prison training program and is ready to graduate! Our prison-trained pups come with an hour training session for adopters to get up to speed on what their dog has learned in the program (see below for details).   He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $350 and includes a one hour training session with one of our trainers in Cincinnati, Dayton, or Columbus. This must be used within 90 days of adoption.    If you are interested in meeting Ziggy, please submit an application on our website, www.prodogsohio.org/adoptables. We will be in touch if you are approved and selected for a meet and greet! All meet and greets must occur at the prison in London, OH, and at the discretion of the prison staff's work hours.
