Meet Winston Tuscarawas

Winston's adoption donation is $475 and he is being fostered in central Ohio he has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworm and started on prevention. Winston has also had a dental cleaning. Winston came into rescue from a small rural shelter where he had been surrendered because his owner could no longer care for him. He has done very well in Rescue and has made significant progress. Winston is a bit of stubborn pup and likes to do his way but he is learning to be okay with his people calling the shots. He enjoys learning and activities that challenge him. He would do best in an experienced home with no children under the age of 8-10. Winston does well on house training if kept on a schedule and is good around other dogs.

Adoption Process
Applicant submits an online (or paper) application. We thoroughly check references including personal, vet, and groomer--landlord if applicable. Once references check out, we then conduct a home visit to ensure home and family would best suit the dog. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis--we go with the home that is the best fit for the dog.
