Meet Daisy! This 5-year-old pittie mix has the most adorable crooked smile! Daisy is the ultimate companion dog. She loves being with her people and would happily spend all day by your side, whether you’re hanging at home or out on an adventure. Daisy is great with kids, though she’d do best with older children due to her enthusiastic, bouncy nature. She has a playful spirit and a face that will brighten the cloudiest day. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick with a quirky grin and tons of love to give, Daisy might just be your girl!
Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
