Vincent Van Bone is a 1-2 yo collie mix male who weighs about 35 pounds and loves to socialize with his foster dog siblings and show affection to his humans. He is house trained, crate trained, does well in the car, and he’s good on the leash. He knows the command sit and working on shake. He enjoys running around in the backyard with his friends and after some exercise he likes to rest on the floor or couch. While he plays with other dogs you’ll hear him chit chatting with them. He is good with kids. Vincent Van Bone is a handsome boy who will bring so much joy and laughter to his future adoptive family. Consider welcoming Vincent Van Bone into your home.
Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
