Grant is the perfect companion and looking for a loving home! Grant is very smart and is responding really well to training. He is almost completely potty trained and doing well in the crate. Grant is very lovable and will do well in any home as long as he has time to run and play. He loves going for walks and hikes but is just as happy laying in a comfy spot with his people. Grant loves greeting dogs and people with a toy in his mouth always ready to play. He has super soft fur and a lot of it! Grant has done very well with cats, dogs, and kids
Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
