Meet Janice! Janice is a sweet and playful puppy who’s ready to find her forever family! This little bundle of joy is full of energy and loves to play with her toys, chase after her siblings, and explore the world around her. But don’t let her playful side fool you—Janice is also a cuddle bug who adores snuggling up for naps after a fun-filled day. She’s got a big appetite for both food and affection, always eager for her next meal or a belly rub. Janice is looking for a loving home where she can continue to grow, learn, and give endless puppy kisses. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will bring joy, laughter, and lots of snuggles into your life, Janice is the pup for you! Could Janice be the perfect fit for your family? Apply to adopt her today!
Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
