Meet Reyna

Hi, my name is Reyna and I'm a 3 year old Great Pyrenees mix. I am truly a gentle giant. I was rescued from a shelter after my owner passed away. I'm a bit underweight and my foster family is helping me gain the proper weight per my breed. I'm an easy going girl who gets along with all animals. I love everyone I meet, especially children. Fully potty trained and crate trained but prefer to sleep on a dog bed during the night or when you are at work. Car rides are great also and I'm very polite wherever you take me. I know basic commands. I'll even shake for a treat. Being outside and patrolling my yard is one of my favorite things. I will alert you when we have a visitor. I am a guardian dog after all. Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
