Meet Usher

"You make me wanna...Start a new relationship with you. This is what you do."Although his moves might not be as smooth as his namesake, Usher is sure to steal your heart and make you want to start a new relationship as best friends.  Usher is a 6 year old, 28lb mixed breed (Chiuahua and Daschund) with the perfect balance of energy and chill.  He sports a mohawk, which is the obvious style for a dog that loves to play hard with his toys, but also loves to settle down and cuddle.  Usher unexpectedly found himself in rescue after his owner was placed in a long term care facility.  He was clearly very loved and taken care of, and just wants to be by your side.  It seems like he picks a favorite person, and wants to be with that person as much as possible.  In his foster home, he has chosen his foster mom as his bestie.  He is friendly and gentle with the kids in his foster home (12 and 10), and gets along well with the other dogs, medium and small sized.  Usher absolutely hates the crate, and gets extremely anxious when he is inside.  He would probably do best with someone who does not plan to crate him and wouldn't mind him cuddling up under the blankets.  He is not destructive and does fine when left alone.  He is pee pad trained, and has rarely had accidents outside of the pads.  I do believe he could be trained to go outside with patience and consistency.  Usher is UTD on vaccinations, neutered, and has so much love left to give.  If you are ready to open your heart and homne to endless hugs and kisses, apply for Usher today!
