Meet Charlie

Are you looking for a soul dog?  Because Charlie is looking for his soul person. This sweet pittie mix is close to a year old and currently weighs just under 45lb. Found as a skinny stray of 38lb, Charlie is continues to gain weight and is likely to be ~50lb at his ideal size. He will be adopted up to date on his core vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.Personality: Charlie is a love bug who can play hard and then partake in a cozy nap!  He has tricked his foster mom into napping on several occassions by snuggling up and being adorable. Charlie knows how to sit, takes redirection/correction well, and is eager to learn how to please his people. He has had minimal accidents in his foster home and keeps his crate clean. Given these skills, we feel he'd make a great dog for.a single person, a couple, or a family with older kids. (There have been zero incidents of aggression with Charlie while in his foster home. However, given his exuberance for life, we do not think a home with young kids is ideal.) His home layout: Charlie is not a vocal dog, so he could live in a townhouse, duplex, or single-family home environment. He'd also be fine at home crated during a standard length work day. We do not feel an apartment would be good for Charlie unless he has sufficient space to run and play. Relatedly, a fenced in yard is preferred but not required. Like most young dogs, Charlie would benefit from training. We are seeking an adopter who is willing to continue training so Charlie can further his socialization, his interactions with other dogs (he is often so excited to see them that he comes in a little hot!), and learn other useful skills.Overall, Charlie is a happy young boy who brings fun, sweetness, and love to his environment. If you think this sounds like a good match for you, please apply for him today at pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt. Paws Across Pittsburgh, KL#16182.
