Meet Princess Rosebud

Princess Rosebud is a charming 7-year-old Papillon mix with soulful brown eyes and a heart overflowing with love. Though life hasn’t always been kind to her, she’s ready to leave her past behind and embrace the happiness she’s always deserved. Her favorite spot is curled up on the couch next to someone she loves, soaking in the warmth of companionship. She lives with other dogs but definitely likes the idea of being an only.  Princess Rosebud is still finding her footing, but aren’t we all? She needs a patient, compassionate person who can help her build confidence and let her inner sparkle shine. In return, she’ll bring boundless love, joy, and loyalty to your life. Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
