Meet Kerry

KERRY is a lovely, lively, silly little redheaded girl looking for a home. She's both vertical AND horizontal. Kerry is either up on her hind legs begging for treats and affection, or on her back begging for belly rubs. We had a hard time trying to get decent photos of her. Kerry appears to be some type of sighthound mix -- Siri says Whippet or Italian Greyhound, the shelter listed her as a Min Pin mix, so we've listed her as a whippet/min pin mix. She has a little bob tail that appears to be the result of a bad dock job. But when she's happy her little tail is a blur. Kerry is about 2 years old and is fully grown. She's currently 21 pounds but could stand to add a pound or two. Kerry's personality is pure sweetness, she's definitely not an alpha-type. She seeks out the companionship of other dogs but can be intimidated by over-the-top dogs. She would love to find a home with a nice friendly fur sibling. We are happy to set up a private meet with an approved adopter.   All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
