Meet Twizzler

Meet the sweetest TWIZZLER ever! Our little Twizzler is a 7-9 month old 20 pound beagle mix girl looking for a home. She is the perfect blend of fun and affection. She loves to run and play with other dogs and toys. She also loves to crawl into your lap for cuddles and will kiss you all over if you'll let her. Twizzler is also a big fan of belly rubs. DId we forget to mention that Twizzler is gorgeous with her stunning red coat and caramel-colored eyes? She's much smaller than she appears in photos. We aren't sure what this gorgeous redhead is mixed with. She's lively and bouncy, maybe she has a little Jack Russell Terrier in the mix? Who knows!! We don't expect Twizzler to grow much larger, she'll likely remain under 25 pounds. Like all puppies Twizzler needs to learn some manners but she's bright with a wonderful disposition and responds well to correction. Twizzler aced her cat test, she wanted no part of the kitties. She's best suited to a home with another playful dog who matches her energy and a physically-fenced yard. If you'd like to meet Twizzler, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Twizzler at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate, if she's still available. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
