Saving Whiskers and Tails

We are a group of volunteers that realized the need for a rescue in our area for animals that are considered "last chance." We work with neglected, abused, starved, dumped, abandoned, injured animals. We have rehabed and adopted 2 Great Danes that were days from death because of starvation, a dog that was attacked by Coyotes, 2 gun shot victims, a dog that was purposely set on fire (we couldn't save her but we provided the vetting services for the family). We have rescued, at last count, over 180 dogs and cats that have been dumped and abandoned including several mothers and litters that we work to get into rescues out of state.

Meet Penny

Have you ever laid eyes on a more captivating face? I highly doubt it. I'm Penny the Puggle, a lovable mix of pug and beagle. With my adventurous personality, I've experienced my fair share of excitement, including a brief period of being lost. Fortunately, I was found and am currently living in a foster home, where I'm doing exceptionally well. I'm a gentle soul with zero aggressive tendencies, making me an ideal addition to any family. Although I had a minor run-in with a robotic vacuum, it was an isolated incident. It did threaten to suck up all of my toys. I'm well-versed in house training, kennel etiquette, and love showering affection on my human friends as well as my dog and cat friends. My ultimate goal is to become a dedicated lap warmer, and I'm also eager to accompany my owner on jogging adventures. I’d even love a dog best friend! I love to play! Weighing 35 pounds, I'm a suitable size for your bed! I wiggle onto Foster Mom’s, but it doesn't last long as I have some competition with other dogs. I settle in my own bed. I'm eager to find a permanent family soon, as I'm excited to plan my 2nd birthday celebration in the next six months. Will we make a perfect match? Adoption Process
We require the family meets the pets for local adoptions and introduces the pet to their family and other family pets. There is an adoption application. We check references, including vet references. The adoption fee is only our vetting fee and any transportation costs that may be incurred.
