Meet Luna

Meet Luna! Luna  is a 2.5 year-old, 33 pound terrier/shepherd mix.  She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations and house trained. Luna is healthy, loving dog who is smart, very food motivated and has responded well to force free training. She is all about eating sticks, playing tug of war, and gnawing on her favorite bone. Luna has SO much love to give and will make the right people so, SO happy.  The ideal home for Luna would be a quiet home with a large lot, or rural setting, with a secure yard to run around in. She enjoys walks in a quiet neighborhood, too much actively and noise in the city can cause her stress at this time, though she continues to improve daily.  She’d be wonderful with another dog, this would make her super happy, and with a family who would be home more often than not. She currently lives with a cat and would be fine in a home with cats. She also likes kids too as long as they are respectful to her needs of course.  She does great with lots of other dogs at dog daycare and at dog parks off-leash! She does really well socially with other dogs but being on-leash around other dogs can be stressful for her, and its a work in progress to let her feel  safe in a busy environment. She has already made lots of progress with this and we know she’ll be able to keep making great progress with the right owner who has the time and interest in working with her regularly. That said, a busy city environment would not be the place for her.  She is smart, very food motivated, and has responded well to training.  Luna is such a sweet and affectionate dog. She loves snuggling and would be thrilled to sleep with you at night if you let her. She is very much a medium energy dog. Her temperament is relaxed when she is home with her people, though she does react to dogs walking by the window (we’ve been working on that). We  love seeing Luna learn how to play- she had no idea what to do with a stick or a toy when she first arrived.  She clearly never had much to play with before she was rescued.  Are you this sweet dogs new family? If so, Luna looks forward to meeting you! Underdogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption fee is $360. Luna is being foster in the Portland area. You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at  https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog  . You must be available to meet an Underdog in their foster's location and dogs are not held for applicants or shipped outside of the Portland metro area. Home checks are also part of the process and will be conducted virtually. Adoption Process
All adoptions require a contract, our fees vary on the situation. We complete home inspections prior to adoption and follow up with adopters after the adoption for assistance if needed.
