Meet Kia

This handsome guy is Kia. He was fostered and he learned a lot about living in a home. He is working on socialization and good manners as he is still a puppy. Born 2/4/24 and weighing 50 lbs, we expect him to be large, somewhere between 65 - 90 lbs. His momma dog is a 65 lb red hound dog and as a stray, was seen in the company of an unfixed Great Pyrenees / Blue Heeler mix. Kia looks like a blond hound dog and he is neutered, up to date on his shots, microchipped and on flea and tick preventative. Kia is looking for a great home that loves hound dogs and can keep him home safe with a fenced in yard. *************************************************************************** This pet comes with an implanted 24 PetWatch microchip and free registration into the 24PetWatch pet recovery service. *************************************************************************** This dog is available for adoption at the Humane Society of McCormick County is SC for an adoption fee. Adoption Process
Our adoption process starts with an interview. We want to know what type of cat or dog they are looking for, their lifestyle, and their expectations. Then we set up a meet and greet either at the shelter, a pet store, or at their home. Then they fill out an adoption contract. We offer and encourage potential adopters to take the dog or cat home on foster-to-adopt for a few weeks before finalizing the adoption. Our adoption fee is $65 for cats and $125 for dogs which included spay or neuter and vaccinations and for dogs, it includes a microchip. Cats can be microchipped upon request.
