Maude Schiffley Chapter S.P.C.A.

Our organization is the oldest pet welfare one in our community founded in 1957. Our board is 100% volunteer. We operate an Adoption Center in our rural community with the help of minimal paid staff and many volunteers. Primarily we provide shelter, medical and social rehabilitation, promote S/N, responsible pet ownership education, and permanent placement for abandoned pets in need in our community.

Meet Droopy

Are you looking for that sweet, hot pumpkin spice latte? Are you anticipating that beautiful, chic sweater to walk around the town? How about that special something to show off on your hand? HELLO THERE! I have the perfect leash to hang off that beautiful hand of yours that goes perfect with any sweater! My name is Droopy, perfect for the occasion I know! Droopy is already spayed and is looking for her forever home. The adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccinations and deworming, Frontline application, spay or neuter surgery, collar, ID tag and a leash.  A $35 (non-refundable) deposit will hold the pet for you for 5 days.  The Shelter is open Tuesday & Thursday from 10 am to 4 pm, Wednesday from 10 am to 12 pm Friday from 10 am to 3 pm and the first and third Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.  Call 803-536-3918 for more information or email at: [email protected]

Adoption Process
We interview potential adoption candidates, require applications, and have a formal adoption contract. Adoption fees vary based on challenges in placing some pets, but generally run from $95 to $130
